More evidence of a big cat roaming the levels has been reported in Coxley and Bleadney.
In last week's Wells Journal there was a report of a sighting on Leaze Drove near Bleadney.
This week we had two more readers get in touch. Basil Clarke of Coxley reported finding the carcass of a young deer that had been literally torn limb from limb by an unknown predator.
"It was literally just bones," said Mr Clarke.
"It had been completely stripped and three of the legs torn off and scattered around the field. The fourth leg was missing."
The whole of the inside of the skeleton was empty.
The deer was found two weeks ago just a few hundred yards from the main road through the village by Mr Clarke when he was walking his dog.
The following day the scene was more gruesome with the body of a badger found at the scene.
"It was just a few yards away," said Mr Clarke. The fur was torn off and bits of skin were scattered around.
The following day the badger's corpse had vanished, leaving only a pile of grey hairs.
"At the time I thought it was odd but since then with the reports of the cat it started to make sense."
Vicky Masters came face-to-face with a large cat-like animal near her parents home at Bleadney Batch.
"I'd just pulled into the Batch when I saw this large animal in the hedge. It was quite fluffy and had huge rounded ears – It was coming towards me and I could see it had big blue eyes, and it hissed at me the way that a cat does, but it was the size of a medium-sized dog.
"One thing that stood out was that it had a really massive tail."
